Trigger has launched the “Multi-National United Training Simulation” for Sony Pictures’ District 9. This Augmented Reality application allows you to “train” as an MNU soldier working to keep humans and non-humans separate and at peace in District 9. Whether or not you’ve experienced Augmented Reality before, we think you’ll be blown away by this “training” simulation.

The application is accessible on the Multi-National United corporate website, which was also produced by Trigger. You’ll need a webcam (and, preferably, speakers as well), to experience the 3D training simulations and get some brief history about the MNU private security force in District 9.

This augmented reality experience offers the ability to access the 3D images through the Abobe Flash player. This means that site visitors do not need to install any additional plugins, so there’s nothing stopping you from getting right into the action.
