The New Trigger Website Has Launched
A lot has happened over the past few years at Trigger. We’ve added new capabilities, completed a lot of projects we’re proud of, and expanded our offices. We recently decided that, to paint a clearer picture of who we are and what we do, it was time to relaunch our corporate website. Today, we are ecstatic to announce that the redesign of the Trigger website is live!
In addition to giving the site an updated look, we have revamped its navigation. The site is now organized by our work and services in each of the silos into which we organize our projects: Web, Games, Social & Media, and Mobile. Under each silo in the “Our Work” section, we have highlighted the 12 projects that we feel give the best representation of our work. Moving forward, more projects will be highlighted as well. In the Games silo, we added information on the proprietary game engines we’ve developed.
It was also important to us that we be able to highlight company information outside of our projects. The new site allows us to showcase the charitable efforts we engage in through Trigger Change. You can find information on the site about the Trigger offices in LA and Shanghai.
For our clients and fans fluent in Chinese, the Trigger site redesign includes a complete simplified Chinese version of the site.

Trigger is pleased to announce that the website for the Sony Pictures film, Hancock, has been selected as an Official Honoree in the Movie & Film category for the 13th Annual Webby Awards. The Webby Awards Official Honoree distinction is awarded only to projects that exhibit remarkable achievement. Only the top 15% of entries are honored. With nearly 10,000 entries received from the US and over 60 countries, that’s quite a lot of competition.
Check out Hancock’s listing on the Webby Awards’ website here.
No commentsAngels & Demons iPhone Game
From time to time, Trigger has the opportunity to take on something new. Adding new technology to our capabilities is always a challenge, but one that we enjoy rising to. That’s why we were honored to be chosen to develop the Illuminati iPhone application for Sony Pictures, released as a part of the marketing for Angels & Demons. In Angels & Demons, the lead character, Robert Langdon, discovers that an ancient brotherhood and secret society known as the Illuminati is coming back to avenge an ancient affront. Langdon must follow clues related to the four elements of Renaissance science – Earth, Air, Fire, and Water – to keep a crisis at bay.
Sony asked Trigger to take the four element games built by MSN for the Path of Illumination Contest (play them here) and package them seamlessly into one iPhone application. This involved reimagining these games in terms of design and functionality. We sought to make the application addictive and replayable, so it includes two modes of game play. Gamers can either choose their favorite element game and play its six levels individually or try Diamond Mode, which leads players through three rounds of successive game play. The application saves the score of players who finish the entire Diamond mode gauntlet. The game is localized into five languages: English, German, Italian, French, and Spanish.
Users can download the Illuminati application through iTunes at this link or from the site here. If you want to download the app, you must hurry – it is only available until April 30 in the iTunes store.

No commentsExplore Rome With Angels & Demons On Location
Sometimes a movie is more than just a film – sometimes, it’s nothing short of a sensation. After Dan Brown mentioned Rome’s Church of Santa Maria della Vitoria in his novel Angels and Demons, first published in 2000, it became a popular tourist attraction. With the theatrical release of Angels and Demons on May 15, moviegoers will have the chance to see the action of the novel played against the stunning landmarks of Rome. For those who can’t wait, yet can’t hop a trip to Rome in the meantime, Trigger has a solution here.
Created with the help of Virtual Earth, Trigger produced “On Location,” an interactive map feature for the Angels & Demons website. The map shows an aerial view of Rome and allows site visitors to zero in on seven major locations featured in the film: the Sistine Chapel, Saint Peter’s Basilica and Saint Peter’s Square, Castel Sant’Angelo, Santa Maria Del Popolo, Santa Maria Vittoria, Pantheon, and Piazza Novona. After selecting a location, visitors are offered an array of content, including:
€¢ Beautiful photographs taken on location
€¢ Exclusive video from the film sets
€¢ Quotes from the film related to the locations
€¢ Notes from the filmmakers, including detailed information on the production of the sets (how do you replicate St Peter’s Basilica with a green screen?)
€¢ 3D models of the buildings, viewable in 360 degrees
So go ahead, immerse yourself in the phenomenon that is Angels and Demons and the historic landmarks of Rome. Go “On Location” here or check out the gallery below. This trip’s on us.

Battle Through Time In X-Men Origins: Time Warrior
At Trigger, we are proud of all of our projects and capabilities, but every once in awhile a project comes along that gets us extra psyched. The X-Men Origins: Time Warrior game is one such project. This game includes improved animation capabilities that go beyond anything we have presented in our previous games. It was also heavily promoted on TV and the Web, including mentions on MTV, IGN and other high profile websites. Fox actually held back the final segment of the trailer from its TV and Web broadcasts, directing viewers to play the game online to see the rest of the exclusive trailer.
The Time Warrior game promotes Fox’s theatrical release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which expands on the back story of Wolverine and Sabretooth. Fox asked Trigger to create a game that follows the characters as they battle side-by-side through three epic clashes: the American Civil War, World War I and the Vietnam War. The game further explores the film’s opening battle sequence, putting players in the middle of the action of the three wars.
The goal of each level or war is to conquer all of the generals of the opposing army and collect intel packs to unlock exclusive film content. Gameplay includes both hand-to-hand and weapons combat. The isometric viewpoint immerses game players in the lush and detailed 3D maps that portray relevant imagery from each war. Each map contains unique, detailed 3D models. Other Marvel comic characters also help Wolverine and Sabretooth battle the army of AI controlled models in the game.

The game is a good balance of historical detail, pure entertainment, and challenging gaming, with the leaderboard adding further incentive and challenge. Check out the battles below or play for yourself here.
