I’m Dreaming of a Trigger Christmas
‘Twas the night of Trigger’s holiday party and all through the town,
the Trigger elves were eating and clowning around.
Everyone’s iPhone was ready in hand,
getting text messages from all over the land.
The founders made speeches and the staff played games;
everyone was happy and then came the rain.
And, what to our wondering eyes did appear,
but Ajay’s infamous milk and we all did a cheer!
The night came to a close with the cameras in hand,
we posed for a photo and then to the street umbrellas manned.
Jason sprang to his car; his team gave him shout,
“You’re a great boss! Trigger’s the best, without doubt!”
He turned his head, flashed a great pearly white,
“Trigger holidays to all and to all a good night!”

Trigger President Jason Yim takes on Global AdTech in China
On November 25th 2008, the Global AdTech conference returned to Shanghai, China at the Shanghai International Exhibition & Convention Centre. It was held over two days and included a trade exhibition and high quality conference.
Why China? In the space of a few years, the Chinese online market has seen remarkable growth. The insurgence of technology, the realization of new media opportunities and the incredible increase in users online clearly demonstrates the need for marketers to re-think their media strategies.
Trigger President and Executive Creative Director, Jason Yim, was a guest on two panels: “Widgets in the Media Mix” and “AdverGaming.”
In the “Widgets in the Media Mix” presentation, Jason and the rest of the panel discussed uncertainties about whether the widget will be a short-lived fad and problems with people creating widgets “just to create a widget.” Yim offered advice on best practices for widget development, focusing on creation & development, distribution and measurement.
Yim provided helpful advice such as utilizing the creative to improve interactions, and technology to extend the shelf-life of a widget by keeping the content fresh and engaging. In addition, he expressed the benefits of reaching out to helpful resources such as Clearspring and other 3rd party “wrappers” in order to be effective and efficient in online media space, and to successfully measure ROI.
On the “AdverGaming” panel, Yim presented Trigger’s robust advergame portfolio, which includes projects for campaigns such as Nike Pro, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Simpsons Movie, Star Wars, The Hulk, and Spider-Man 3. Yim discussed the future direction of where video games were headed in the industry and the integration of product branding. Video games also serve as an important viral marketing tool and amplification of social networking.

Live Gamer: Where Gamers Really Live
Live Gamer, host of a secure online gaming marketplace, recently relaunched its website–with a little help from Trigger, of course. Live Gamer provides players of MMOs and other online games a secure platform for trading virtual items. (No more patrolling the black market for the newest weapon in “World of Warcraft.”)
The content-heavy site presents users with a clear and consistent illustration of Live Gamer’s cutting edge service in the online gaming market. Trigger was faced with the challenge of designing a site that was easy to understand for casual gamers (who are looking for a place to buy and sell) as well as corporate partners looking to legitimize the sale of virtual & MMO goods online.
The site includes bold quotes from execs and academics alike (seen in the smooth promo on the homepage) and articles from notable publications within the gaming industry. Check out the site here and browse the photos below.
