You Don’t Mess With the Zohan: Sweepstakes
As an Israeli commando, there are certain things you have to focus on. Hand-to-hand combat, demolition, marksmanship and fantastic, feather-brushed hair. Adam Sandler is back with a new film: You Don’t Mess With the Zohan. Sandler plays an Israeli agent who would rather sit in a salon all day than fight to the death. In the film, Zoahn moves to New York to chase his dream of being one of the worlds top hair stylists.
To promote the film, Trigger is helping Zohan get animated. Sony Pictures is giving one lucky Sandler fan the chance to be drawn into an episode of the animated miniseries Trigger is producing as a prologue to the movie. (Oh, and you win two tickets to the premiere of the film, if you’re into that kind of thing.)

Even More CJ7 Stuff
A couple of weeks ago we told you that Sony Pictures International launched the Trigger-built site the film CJ7. As of this week, there’s a desktop widget on the site as well.
The widget charges you with the task of keeping CJ7 happy. Poke, bounce, pet, kick and even tickle the little green alien to keep him happy. You can even put a little Playstation controller in his hand to play one of two minigames: “Fight The Bullies” or “Hide And Seek.” To get your own widget, visit the official movie site to download the file to your desktop and double click the icon. It’s as simple as that.
Check out some much-larger-than-actual-size screenshots, then head to the live site to download the widget for yourself.

At first, CJ7 is a little shy. You’ll have to prod him to come out of his shell.

Isn’t he cute?

CJ7 Launches: EPK, Pinball Game, Pet Widget
Just before the end of the year, Trigger launched the website for the latest film from Sony Pictures International: CJ7 — a new movie by Chinese superstar Stephen Chow. (You might recognize him from the films Kung Fu Hustle and Shaolin Soccer.) Chow wrote, directed and starred in the film, which will be in theaters starting on January 31.
The film tells the story of Dicky, a poor boy attending an expensive, private elementary school. His father, Ti (Chow), works hard to earn enough to pay tuition, but there’s little money left to buy clothes or toys. Dicky has trouble concentrating in school since his classmates are always picking on him. One day Ti stumbles across a green ball and brings it home to Dicky as a toy. The ball turns out to be an alien–Dicky names it CJ7–and crazy things happen and you’ll have to see the move to learn more (Or at least visit the website.)
The site has all the basic info you’ll need to get acquainted with the film, plus some cool extras. You can play a CJ7-themed pinball game, also developed by Trigger, and soon there will be a widget you can download to your desktop that lets you take care of the alien creature.

1 commentTrigger Change Passes $100k
As of January 2008, Trigger Change will have hit a milestone in our discipline of charitable giving: We hit our $100k mark – giving to organizations individually chosen by the Triggeroids. Considering we started giving in 2006, we’re happy to see a respectable portion of our profit go towards efforts that impact and improve the world long after our digital work has come and gone.
Some of the groups we give to include:
- Los Angeles Union Rescue Mission
- CARE.org
- Toys for Tots
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
- Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center
- Leukemia-lymphoma.org
- KPFK Radio
- Friends and Helpers
- Free Wheelchair Commission
- Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
- Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America
One of my favorites is the Free Wheelchair Commission, which gives away containers full of wheelchairs to restore mobility and dignity to people in nearly one hundred countries worldwide. These chairs typically go to people who cannot afford wheelchairs but need them. Where normally wheelchairs cost thousands of dollars each, this group has designed wheelchairs from bike parts and a durable lawnchair, fused together with a custom metal frame. The end result: rugged wheelchairs that costs an incredible $48.35 each. To date they’ve distributed 285k wheelchairs.
