ADWAD’s Opinion of E3
Here’s what ADWAD said today about E3:
No commentsI can’t stand the convergence of geeks and girls who don’t want to be there.
Cryptic Quote of the Day
This is the ‘Cryptic Quote of the Day’ from one of our game developers:
“Hey–I have a semi-playable skeletal version now, but there’s a problem in the physics–the balls looked like they’re being catapulted. Hence, nobody ever scores. I need to hammer out the math…”
2 commentsA Journey Through Time and Space…
World-weary Worldwide Intern here. As the last days of my first World tour tick by I’ve broken through the barrier of melancholy that has kept me from writing until now. And so to begin, as a perhaps apt and not too ascerbic comment on the rest of my ramblings to come, I humbly give you…

There are many great things to see and do in and around Beijing but nothing puts more of a lift in your stride than a fully cleansing irrigation, or so I was told in faltering English by several geriatrics as they beamed on their spritely way out of this institution. Me? I chose to hunt down the cheapy electronics and knock-off branded wear found in the clamouring Hutongs a little further on.
Have to say I was still smarting from the previous night when my lovely travel companion was carried off by some local talent; the sorriest excuse for a *edited* I ever saw!

…”He had a lovely curved beak” she said. Hrmmph!
Travelling the World to experience new cultures is a fine thing but the ugly and insidious nature of globalisation has been permeating human presence for far longer than even the gloomiest radical might suspect. It would appear that the last Emperor was partial to a vente, white chocolate, Colombian, decaf mocha with soy and cinnamon.

Oh, did I mention how hot it is here in the Summer? 40 degrees drives the wily to every bit of shade…

But alas duty calls and some poor mugs answer…

Remember the days before the Internet? No blogs, no chatrooms, no MySpace ™, no Google ™. People actually had real world, tangible pursuits. Got to admit that when you don’t check your email, deal with spam and watch all those crazy ass videos people keep posting there’s quite a bit of time to develop a skill and produce some awesome artifacts:

We left Beijing for a trip to the countryside but had a little trouble getting into the neighbour’s garden! Some buggers are so precious about their land but I guess this guy had a whole bunch of headaches negotiating party-wall maintenance.
No commentsMonster House: Teaser Site Launched
Our official Monster House teaser site is now live! The site plops you into the room of DJ, a 12-year old boy who has set up a camcorder to keep an eye on his creepy neighbor, Nebbercracker. Nebbercracker takes everything that touches his lawn — basketballs, frisbees, kites — and things are getting even worse! Watch his home-made surveillance footage closely, you might see something that DJ missed…

Click on the wad of paper and it uncrumples to give you a mini site menu.

Here you can register for updates, read the story…

view the trailer, and download Monster House wallpapers and icons.

The alarm clock on DJ’s desktop is synchronized to your computer. Depending on what time of the day you visit the site, you can get either a night or day view out of DJ’s window. Is that awesome or what?

At night, an occasional flash of lighting will illuminate the desktop, and cause a bit of extra static on DJ’s television.

Monster House the movie will be released this Summer 2006 and is a Zemeckis/Spielberg Motion Capture Project.
Stay tuned later this year as DJ’s desktop expands into tons more cool stuff!
1 commentBasic Instinct 2: Full Site Launched
Replacing our Teaser site from last month, Trigger has launched the Full official website for Basic Instinct 2 on March 3rd. This full Flash 8 site allows you to step into the dark, psychological world of Catherine Tramell (Sharon Stone), American crime novelist. An international best selling author, Tramell has her own author site that serves as the gateway for a number of immersive features, including a €œKeyword Association€ game, a €œPatient Profile€ viewer, and more.

As you navigate through the site, transitions on every page are composed of full screen video clips from the movie, and there are plenty of goodies to plaster your PC and Sony PSP in the Downloads section.

If you€™re lucky, you might catch Tramell€™s psychologist, Dr. Michael Glass, in a talkative mood about his leggy client via an online chat. Eager to share the sordid details of his encounters with Tramell, Dr. Glass takes the convo off the site to your AIM client.

You can even take a peek at Tramell’s patient file and listen in on her sessions.

Chris Thilk from Movie Marketing Madness appreciates the functionality and full-screen video of the site and ComingSoon.net also has a write up of the site.

Basic Instinct 2 opens in theaters March 31st.

A hero has emerged from the freshly painted walls of Trigger: Agent Orange. With super human powers, he is just one force in the Trigger Team, ready to fight supergalatic battles in cyberspace.

No commentsScooped! Secret Sony Super-Hero Swag Stash!
Hidden deep in a storage facility somewhere North of the Sony Pictures world headquarters is the official Spider-Man and Men In Black swag bunker. Secure behind multiple keypads and fireproof doors, Trigger recently gained code-”golden-hour” access to the bunker and the impressive arsenal within.
What did we find?
Boxes of Spider-Man and Men In Black action figures, toys, pillows, and lunch boxes as far as the eye could see. Posters. T-shirts. Mona Lisa Smile beauty cases. Upon some persuasion, we even left with some items. Actually, a lot of items. So many that we had to bungie a couple boxes on top of the getaway transport.

These metal filing cabinets are filled with action figures!

Misa stands behind the cart of swag we plan to take with us:

Did we mention Misa can’t stop taking pictures of everything?

Special thanks to our bunker tour guide & curator, AG!
No commentsArt: Incoming!
Trigger had a few special deliveries to the office this past week. The Red Barron and our Worldwide Intern rented a U-Haul and brought in some goodies. In this pic, you can see the really, really big painting leaning against the wall — one of our art directors created it.
Freshly framed and still in the shrink wrap, it will find a home in the Red Baron’s office.
The U-Haul contains another surprise – SUPER Street Fighter II TURBO! Worldwide Intern helps dolly it in… this awesome machine will be eventually nestled into our Conference Room of Doom.
Oh, and for those of us who have never seen the underside of an arcade machine, see below:
My Folding Technique is Unstoppable
Got this email from our sometimes shadow tester Ray:
No commentsThis method for folding t-shirts is just too good not to share.
I saw it and thought maybe it was fake, like a trick with a pause in the footage, but I tried it and it really works.it’s in Japanese, but it’s not like you need to understand:
